Meet Umme
I was born in Bangladesh and moved to the U.S. at age 11, carrying with me a lifelong passion for empathy and support. After earning my bachelor’s in psychology from Rutgers University and my master’s in social work from Stockton University, I pursued training in family systems, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and narrative-based therapies. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and personal growth. My goal is to help each client build resilience and strengthen their relationships in alignment with their values. I create a collaborative, meaningful space for healing that honors every person’s story and goals. I believe a balanced life supports effective care. Outside of therapy, I spend time with loved ones, explore new cuisines, travel, hike, and embrace the joy of everyday moments. Walking alongside others in their healing journey is both my calling and my greatest privilege.
