Meet Richard
I am a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, as well as a general psychiatrist, with 35 years of experience in the field. I have been providing mental health services in the Rockford IL area since 2000, working in community health centers, offices, hospitals, and residential-based settings. My journey in psychiatry began after completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame and graduating medical school from the University of Michigan. I then went on to serve as an Army physician for 13 years before entering private practice. Over the years, I have treated many individuals and families struggling with various mental health issues, including Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), and more. My approach to treatment is personalized and patient-centered, taking into account each individual's unique needs and circumstances. I understand that seeking help for mental health concerns can be daunting, especially for parents of children and adolescents. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, I am specially trained to work with young patients and their families, providing compassionate and effective care in a comfortable and Supportive environment.
