Meet Mallory
My passion for mental health was cultivated during my physician assistant education at the University of South Alabama, where I completed a rural psychiatric rotation in a small town in Alabama. There, I was able to fully realize the importance and impact of mental health services to the community. After graduation, I worked in family medicine where I practiced general medicine, but was also able to provide the first steps of treatment for many patients struggling with psychiatric illnesses. From there, I saw that there was an intense need not only for more psychiatric providers, but also for more understanding and compassion in general for the mental health field overall. This led me to pursue a career in the psychiatric specialty, where I am today. I believe that caring for one's mental health should not be a luxury, but should instead be considered crucial for living a fulfilling life. It is my goal to connect with patients of all backgrounds to help them realize that they are meant for more than a life consumed by affliction, and instead can prosper when we work together for a better mental livelihood. I was raised in Auburn, Alabama and attended Auburn University for undergraduate, where I studied Biomedical Sciences. My husband and I moved to Atlanta in 2020 and we live together with our dog and cat. I enjoy trying new restaurants, attending concerts and other activities around Atlanta, and of course going to any and all Auburn sporting events.
