Laura Angley LMSW

I have a special interest in supporting children, adolescents and adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD. I also enjoy supporting children who are acclimating to new schools due to their parents re-locating with careers or other changes, within the family, such as divorce. I have a strengths based, client centered approach. I strive to partner with my clients and meet them where they are at. I enjoy bringing interventions such as art therapy, sand tray therapy or therapeutic games into sessions, which I have found to be particularly helpful in assisting children and teens with both focusing and with "opening up". I advocate for my client's needs to gain support through school systems through school counselors and educators to ensure children and adolescents are getting the support they need both inside and outside the therapy room. I have experience working with adults and families in recovery from substance use, and particularly enjoy supporting children and adolescents who have been impacted by their parent's addiction.
