Kelli Gordy LPC

I earned my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Columbus State University in 2005. I became an Associate Professional Counselor in 2014 and achieved full licensure as a Professional Counselor in 2017. After completing my graduate studies, I spent seven years working at a domestic violence center, where I helped families access community resources and heal from the effects of abuse. I then served in various roles at a Community Service Board in Gwinnett County, including Intensive Case Management for clients with psychosis, Clinical Manager at a Crisis Stabilization Unit, Substance Use Disorder treatment in both a 28-day program and an Intensive Outpatient Program, and Team Lead for the First Episode program, where I supported families of individuals ages 15-29 experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Following these roles, I transitioned to outpatient counseling for three years before joining Psychiatric Professionals of Georgia by Geode Health. My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, and I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), insight-oriented therapy, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, and psychoeducation. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, domestic violence, and abuse. I am also dedicated to helping clients explore their gender identity and sexual orientation, as well as supporting those navigating challenges within the LGBTQ+ community. Outside of work, I enjoy weight training, spending time with my pets, and indulging in books and movies. I also find joy in attending music and art festivals, and I cherish quality time with my daughter, friends, and family.
