Meet Bill
I began my journey in the mental health field in 2017 at a community mental health office in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where I worked with adolescents and developed a passion for helping them become the best versions of themselves. Since then, I have gained experience in both private practice and inpatient hospital settings with adults, which has allowed me to build a broad and versatile knowledge base to better support my clients. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Augustana College, where I participated in multiple internship opportunities that solidified my interest in the field. I then pursued my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a specialization in clinical social work from Aurora University. Shortly after graduating, I completed my supervision hours and obtained my LCSW in 2023. My approach to therapy is grounded in meeting you where you are. If you’re unsure where that is, we’ll work together to figure it out. My primary therapeutic approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which I find to be highly versatile and authentic. However, I also draw from a variety of other modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, all of which help me tailor treatment to fit your unique needs. I work with clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction/substance abuse, OCD, anger issues, personality disorders, codependence, and more. My decision to pursue this career path was inspired by the profound impact I witnessed the therapeutic relationship can have when I was a teenager. The power of a third-party presence to help facilitate healing is something truly special, and I am honored to be part of that process with my clients.
