Meet Alhana
My passion for mental health started at a very early age. Growing up, I always appreciated learning about the people around me, and connecting with them in a way that would allow them to speak openly with me, and in turn I would lend my assistance in any way I could. Fast-forward to college, where I attended the University of Michigan and completed a double degree in molecular biology and biotechnology as well as research psychology. From there I got a job as an ABA therapist, helping children with autism on various spectrums of severity. In my spare time, I also worked and continue to work as a piano and vocal instructor for individuals of all ages, where I tailor my lessons to individual needs, and provide a therapy-based approach to learning. I find that treatment plans are not “one size fits all.” Everyone needs individualization and tools in their toolbox to handle the challenges life throws at them. My approach is a utilization of evidence-based treatment modalities specifically tailored to individual needs. I highly encourage all my clients be involved with their care. I believe that shared decision making is important in achieving overall success towards mental well-being. I am honored for the opportunity to be part of your care.
