Meet Yolanda
I use a holistic approach that incorporates DBT skills, narrative therapy, and spiritual supports for clients who find meaning in these areas. I believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them in their healing process. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across all levels of care, supporting individuals dealing with grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and substance use. My work often involves helping clients explore or grow in their faith, or heal from spiritual abuse, always respecting where each person is in their journey. I have experience providing individual, family, and group therapy, with a focus on helping clients achieve the goals that matter most to them. My personal background also informs my work. I grew up in a household with a parent who lived with mental illness and later died by suicide. This lived experience gives me a deep empathy and an understanding of what it’s like to face emotional pain, both personally and within a family system. Clients often describe me as calm and grounded, and I strive to bring that steady presence into every session. My areas of focus include bipolar disorder, grief, multicultural concerns, spirituality, and suicidal ideation. I work with clients as young as age 13 and am passionate about helping people help themselves. I look forward to supporting you in your individual path toward healing and recovery.
