Meet Shay
I began my career in mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2011, inspired by my own experiences with trauma, loss, and resilience. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including private practice, community mental health, inpatient and outpatient care, in-home therapy, long-term care, residential treatment, substance use programs, and eating disorder clinics. These experiences have shaped my ability to meet clients where they are—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—and provide compassionate, personalized care. In 2022, I earned my BSN, and by 2024, became a double board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I offer trauma-informed psychiatric assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, and addiction treatment, with a focus on ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use—particularly among individuals underserved by traditional care systems. My approach blends evidence-based practices—such as psychopharmacology, CBT, and motivational interviewing—with a holistic, mind-body-soul perspective. I’m also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) to expand my clinical and leadership impact. Whether working with patients, mentoring future clinicians, or advancing systems of care, I lead with authenticity, empathy, and a commitment to whole-person healing and meaningful change.
