Meet Shahnaz
I graduated as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2021. I’ve also worked as a mental health nurse at a psychiatric facility for more than 13 years. I’m skilled in diagnosing psychiatric illnesses, initiating and management of psychiatric medications in patients across the lifespan. I provide deeply empathetic, non-judgmental, culturally competent, evidence-based care. I emphasize on educating my patients about prioritizing their mental health with therapeutic communication to promote treatment compliance and recovery.
