Meet Samantha
I began my clinical training in 2022, completing practicum and internship in diverse settings including a juvenile detention center, private practice, adult PHP/IOP programs, and an adolescent residential facility. These experiences have shaped a flexible, client-centered approach to therapy. Before entering the mental health field, I worked as a middle school educator. While I valued that role, I felt called to support individuals more deeply. Pursuing LPC licensure allowed me to work with a broader range of clients and provide the level of care I believe people truly need. I work primarily with adolescents and adults, and also have experience with aging populations, couples, and families. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem, codependency, family systems, anger management, and women’s issues. I use a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to each client, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My approach integrates practical tools with a compassionate space for healing and growth. I hold an M.S. in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of North Texas. My background as an educator continues to inform my relational, strengths-based work with clients.
