Meet Phuong
I believe psychiatry requires a compassionate, open-minded, and whole-person approach to assessment and treatment planning. Each person’s mental health is shaped by a unique combination of life experiences, relationships, personal beliefs, and biological factors, all of which deserve thoughtful consideration and individualized care. My background in both the medical ICU and mental health crisis stabilization settings has reinforced the importance of recognizing mental health symptoms while also considering potential underlying medical causes or contributing factors. My goal is to foster a collaborative partnership with patients where they feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their treatment as we work toward achieving greater stability, confidence, and overall well-being. This may include appropriate medication management when indicated, but more importantly, consistent engagement in therapy to strengthen emotional insight, self-awareness, coping skills, and intentional behavioral change.
