Meet Melissa
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I draw from a background in emergency, critical care, and psychiatric settings to support those whose emotional distress has often gone unaddressed. My focus is on providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care for individuals impacted by trauma and high-stress life experiences. I am especially committed to working with first responders and healthcare professionals experiencing compassion fatigue and burnout, and veterans and military-connected individuals. I recognize the unique psychological and emotional challenges associated with service, high-stress roles, identity shifts, and reintegration, and I provide evidence based, compassionate care tailored to these experiences. I specialize in the treatment of post-traumatic stress (PTSD), trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring mood and anxiety concerns. My approach integrates evidence-based medication management with supportive psychotherapy, utilizing trauma-informed care, CBT-informed strategies, and motivational interviewing. Collaboration, trust, and respect guide my work, with the goal of fostering stability, resilience, and long-term wellness in every patient I serve.
