Meet Karen
My primary motivation for becoming a therapist has always been to offer meaningful support, to be someone people can turn to as they navigate life’s challenges. I work with clients starting at age thirteen and strive to create a space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish to help individuals express themselves in the language that feels most natural to them. I began my career in mental health as a case manager in a group home setting, supporting individuals with severe mental illnesses. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients and clinical concerns, including schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, anger management, and relationship issues. My approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs.
