Meet Gia
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I began my career in psychiatric nursing in 2012, working across various settings such as inpatient psychiatric units, crisis stabilization programs, and community-based mental health services. The majority of my nursing career has been dedicated to psychiatric care, which has laid a strong foundation for my current work in outpatient mental health treatment. My decision to pursue a career in mental healthcare is deeply personal and stems from both lived experiences and a passion for advocating for individuals facing mental health challenges. I’m especially committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness, particularly within underserved communities. I strive to empower my patients through education, empathy, and evidence-based care. I have a special interest and clinical expertise in treating a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. My approach combines brief supportive therapy with medication management, offering patients a balanced, individualized treatment plan aimed at fostering long-term wellness. I’m always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and improve patient outcomes. I integrate current clinical guidelines, pharmacologic advancements, and trauma-informed care principles into my practice. My goal is to provide a safe, affirming, and culturally sensitive space where patients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey. Currently, I see patients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with individuals as young as 15 to promote resilience and restore mental wellness.
