Meet Clarissa
I believe therapy is a space for healing and self-discovery—where you feel empowered to become your most authentic self. I approach each person with respect and sensitivity, creating a safe, collaborative environment to explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and growing. My goal is to gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns while fostering meaningful emotional insight and resilience. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Victim Studies from Sam Houston State University. I’ve provided care in both residential and private practice settings and previously served as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence—an experience that continues to shape my trauma-sensitive, compassionate approach to care. I work with individuals ages 13 and up and specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, adjustment challenges, women’s issues, LGBTQ+ care, addiction, and eating disorders. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and client-centered therapies with motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based practices.
