Meet Brynn
I started working in mental healthcare during my Masters program, I had internships in inpatient mental health, and then inpatient substance use disorders. After graduating with my Masters I worked at an inpatient and outpatient treatment center for teens and adults struggling with eating disorders. I then went to an outpatient program for substance use and co-occurring disorders. I worked in private practice for the last couple of years. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. In the past I have led groups around CBT skills, DBT Skills, Trauma and PTSD. I chose mental healthcare as a career path because when I was in high school, I had a therapist who changed my life for the better in many ways. My positive experience as a client made me passionate and driven to offer the same experience to others. I still go to therapy because I believe in the benefits. I have a special interest in treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Treatment modalities I specialize in include DBT, CBT, and EMDR I use my EMDR training to improve patient outcomes for individuals struggling with PTSD and trauma. I have seen tremendous improvements in clients I have worked with. EMDR allows space for reprocessing traumatic events in a way where they no longer cause harm in the present. I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy.
